Etymology
"TMI," a humorous expression, sometimes known as Internet slang, used in North America and the United Kingdom to inform a speaker that he/she is telling or revealing too much about himself/herself or a given topic to the level that the topic becomes gross. The author of this phrase is unknown, but is a suspected and widely supported idea that it began in the Northwest, United States.
