  1. A maritime county in the north-east of England (the largest county in Britain), bordered by County Durham, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, Westmorland and the North Sea; it was historically divided into three ridings.
  2. A dialect spoken in the county of Yorkshire, also known as Tyke.
